On arrival at NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport you will be received by our office executive who will assist you to board your vehicle to Gangtok(5500 Ft /1677 Mts, 130 Kms / 4 -5 Hrs). Upon arrival proceed to the hotel for check-in; the evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
After breakfast, in the morning, start for excursion to Tshangu Lake (12400Ft / 3780 Mts / 43Kms in 3Hrs one way from Gangtok) &through Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary and Baba Mandir (13100Ft / 3994 Mts / 16Kms in 1Hrs one way from Tshangu Lake) (no entry for foreigner national, they are allowed to visit till Tshangu Lake, with a valid permit. They also have to be 02 & above is number to visit Tshangu Lake). Situated at a height of 12400Ft / 3780 Mts / 43Kms in 3Hrs one way, with an average depth of 50 ft. The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Back to Gangtok and Overnight at Gangtok. (Incase of Landslide or due to any other reasons if Tshangu Lake is closed then an alternate sightseeing will be provided) Supplement cost for Nathula pass will be INR 3500 per vehicle, it will be closed on Monday & Tuesday and subjected to permit availability.
After having an early breakfast, the guests will be taken on a drive of 135 kilometers, which takes nearly 5 – 6hours.En route, the guest will be taken for lunch Chungthang, which is 96 kilometers from Gangtok. Lachen is 35 kilometers from Chungthang and everyone will be reaching Lachen bylate afternoon or early evening. The snow-capped peaks, the Shingbha wild life sanctuary, Gurudongmar Lake, Chopta Valley, and Thangu are the major tourist attractions at this place. It is a valley surrounded by gigantic and humbling snow peaks.The top of the mountain is the starting point of Green Lake Trek. In fact, there is a village cradled between stern and tall rock faces standing like guards. It is a hamlet inhabited by very few people. It almost like the town is hidden from the outside, like a Shangri–La.After reaching, the guests will be checked into a hotel. The evening free for a stroll around the place and the visitors can take this as the opportunity to visit the Lepcha Village. Overnight stay at Hotel in LACHUNG.
This day starts with a visit to the Gurudongmar Lake, which is around 55 kilometers and a 2½ – 3½hours drive. Lachen is a valley situated at an altitude of 11, 800 feet through which Lachen Chu flows. It is generally covered in snow from December to April or even longer and it is known as the Holy or Sacred Lake.From the lake, the next drive is through the cold desert to Tibet / China and then gets back to Resort for lunch. After lunch, another drive to Lachung. This region is fully covered with Rhododendron forest. The guests are checked into hotel at Lachung. The guests can visit the Monastery in the evening and laze around.
After breakfast you will be transferred to Gangtok. Upon arrival proceed to the hotel for check-in; the evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
